A snapshot from the tasting I went to the other day. I got to taste the difference between 1993 Bruno Giacosa opened hours apart, and the difference was incredible. They also had a bottle of Bartolo Mascarello, which was a pleasant surprise.

First wine visit this time was with a "new" producer, as in new for us. We have tasted his wines, but never met him. As always when trying something new, we had no idea what to expect, but we soon found out that this would be fantastic. Sergei Germano is kind, adventurous and hilarious. He had me laughing the whole time. And not to mention, the incredible wine!

I, as always, prefer the white. I find white wine much easier to drink. His whites were superb, but his reds also, very good. Especially Langhe Nebbiolo.

All in all, great first wine tasting.
